Terms of Service

Monerise — Privacy-First Personal Finance

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Monerise (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy at https://monerise.app/en/privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and ICI Tech Teknoloji A.Ş. ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), registered in Turkey.

Monerise is not a bank, broker, payment service provider, tax advisor, or investment product. It does not transfer money, connect to bank accounts, or provide financial advice.

2. Definitions

Service means the Monerise iOS app, Android app, website at https://monerise.app/, and all features. Account means an optional registered user profile for cloud backup and sync features. Financial Data means transaction records, wallet balances, categories, budgets, and reports you create. One-Time Purchase means the single payment for core app features via App Store or Google Play.

3. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a legally binding contract. Core features work without an account. An account is required only for optional cloud backup and sync.

4. What Monerise Is and Is Not

Monerise IS a personal finance tracking tool designed to help you record income and expenses, manage wallets and balances across multiple currencies, track budgets, and generate personal financial reports.

Monerise IS NOT:

Monerise does not transfer money between accounts, connect to bank accounts, hold funds, or provide advice on financial products or investments. Do not rely on the app as your sole financial record — maintain independent records as required by applicable law.

5. Privacy Commitment

Your financial data stays on your device by default. We do not transmit your financial data during normal tracking use. See our Privacy Policy for full details on when data may leave your device.

We commit to: not selling your financial data; not sharing it with advertisers; not using it to build advertising profiles; not connecting to your bank accounts.

6. Account Registration (Optional)

An account is not required to use Monerise's core features. If you create an account for cloud backup or sync, you agree to provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. Notify us at app@icitech.com.tr if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. One-Time Purchase

Core Monerise features are available via a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). We never receive or store your payment card details. The purchase is processed by Apple or Google under their own terms.

Refunds: contact Apple (https://reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637). EEA and UK consumers retain statutory rights — see Section 16.

The one-time purchase covers the features described at time of purchase. Future features or major version updates may be offered separately and will be communicated clearly.

8. Exchange Rate Data

The optional live exchange rate feature fetches rate data from a third-party provider. This is a read-only request — no personal data or financial information is sent. Rates may not be real-time and should not be used for commercial foreign exchange transactions. You can manually enter and edit exchange rates without any network request.

9. Exports and Backups

Data exports and backups you initiate are under your control. Once exported, data is your responsibility. We are not liable for what you do with exported files or backups.

10. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for: maintaining your own financial records as required by applicable law; the accuracy of data you enter; keeping device backups to avoid data loss; your tax reporting obligations; not relying solely on the app as your official financial record.

11. Acceptable Use

Use the Service for lawful personal finance tracking in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

12. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: use the app if under 18; attempt to reverse engineer or extract source code; introduce malware or disrupt the Service; use the Service to facilitate tax fraud or illegal financial activity; create multiple accounts to abuse any feature.

13. Intellectual Property

All Company Content — including the Monerise name, logo, app design, and software — is owned by or licensed to ICI Tech Teknoloji A.Ş. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. The Financial Data you create belongs to you.

14. Data Loss

Financial Data stored locally on your device is your responsibility. We are not liable for data loss due to device failure, app deletion, OS updates, or failure to back up. Enable optional cloud backup or use the export feature to protect your data. We strongly recommend regular backups.

15. Privacy

Your use is governed by our Privacy Policy at https://monerise.app/en/privacy. For EEA/UK users, our GDPR Privacy Notice at https://monerise.app/en/privacy/gdpr also applies.

16. Third-Party Services and Platforms

Apple App Store (iOS): These Terms are between you and ICI Tech Teknoloji A.Ş. — not Apple. Apple has no obligation to maintain or support Monerise. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Google Play (Android): Google Play is not a party to these Terms.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties including: fitness for any particular financial purpose; accuracy of exchange rates; completeness or accuracy of reports; or uninterrupted operation.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Turkish law, ICI Tech Teknoloji A.Ş. shall not be liable for: financial decisions made based on app data; data loss from device failure or deletion; exchange rate inaccuracies; indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; or any damages exceeding the amount paid for the app.

Nothing limits our liability for gross negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Turkish law.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

Governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, including the Turkish Code of Obligations and Law on Consumer Protection No. 6502. Disputes subject to Istanbul (Çağlayan) court jurisdiction. EEA and UK consumers retain mandatory local consumer protection rights.

20. Changes to These Terms

Material changes notified at least 14 days in advance. Current version at https://monerise.app/en/terms.
